In the same spirit in which it was originally set it up by its founder Mr Sid Cooper, a local peripatetic music teacher, the band has been working with local schools to offer the opportunity for their young players to join existing members and experience the enjoyment of making music together. These open rehearsals & concerts have proven to be very popular - examples of the events we’ve held to date can be found

If your school or music students would be interested in joining with us for an open workshop or concert, please contact us, we would be very happy to hear from you. Details of our next workshops are available

Alternatively you might like to consider our ‘rehearsals on tour’ programme where we come to your school to rehearse one Friday evening and your music students join us in our rehearsal session under the guidance of existing members.
